Earlier today, one of the most prestigious and significant university rating systems QS World University Ranking announced its results for year 2020.

For the first year, Varna University of Management is in the regional ranking of the best universities in Eastern Europe and Central Asia (EECA) made by the elite British company QS (Quacquarelli Symonds), which is another recognition for one of the most dynamically growing business universities in the region.

QS develops and successfully implements methods of comparative data collection and analysis used to highlight institutions’ strengths. Conducting its first industry-leading research in 1990, the QS World University Rankings launched in 2004 and is now the most established research project operated by the company.

Ranking by regions or the QS EECA Region University Rankings have been published since 2014. The methodology retains the main indicators of the global rankings – academic reputation, reputation among employers, post-education realization opportunities, indexed faculty publications, web impact, number of publications cited, quality of faculty staff, number of foreign lecturers and international students, online presence, research, international prestige and more.

VUM is the only university in Varna included in the prestigious international ranking. The other Bulgarian representatives are Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, Medical University – Sofia, American University in Blagoevgrad and the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy in Sofia.
