We offer short and clear steps for admission. Our main requirements for each of our students are high motivation, good results from the high school diploma and a good level of English language proficiency.
In the process of admission Varna University of Management strictly follows the rules and regulations of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Bulgaria.
Application steps for EU and EEA citizens
The following documents are required to apply to the Varna University of Management:
1) Duly completed application form
2) A copy of a high school diploma or a letter confirming the year and term of study, if applied in advance
3) Copy of the appendix to the diploma for completed secondary education or academic reference with the results of the study so far, if you apply in advance
4) Certificate of proficiency in English (if any)
5) Copy of ID card or passport
The documents are sent scanned to e-mail admissions@vum.bg.
At the Varna University of Management, the training starts twice a year: in September and in February. Upon submission of the above documents, we will inform you about available vacancies in your chosen specialty for the upcoming admission.

Recording Documents
After the confirmation of conditional admission, the applicant should submit to the “Admission” department of the Varna University of Management the following documents:
1) Duly completed, printed and signed application form
2) Diploma of secondary education (original or notarized copy)
3) Appendix to the diploma for completed secondary education (original or notarized copy)
4) Medical certificate (certified by a psychiatrist / psycho-dispensary), issued not earlier than one month before the date of the application form.
5) Document for paid tuition fee
6) Photos passport format – 4 pcs.
When the documents under items 2, 3 and 4 are not issued by Bulgarian bodies and institutions and are not in Bulgarian, they must be legalized, translated into Bulgarian and certified in accordance with the provisions of the international agreements of the Republic of Bulgaria with the state, in which they are issued. In the absence of such provisions, they shall be legalized in accordance with the general procedure for legalizations, translations and certifications of documents and other papers. Recording Documents
After the confirmation of conditional acceptance, the applicant must submit to the “Admission” department (on site or by mail / courier) the following documents:
1) Duly completed, printed and signed application form
2) Diploma for secondary education – original or notarized copy
3) Appendix to the diploma for completed secondary education – original or notarized copy
4) Document issued by a competent authority certifying the applicant’s right to continue his / her education in the higher schools and universities of the country where the secondary education was completed
5) Medical certificate issued within one month before the date of the application form
6) Photos passport format – 4 pcs.
When the documents under items 2, 3, 4 and 5 are not issued by Bulgarian bodies and institutions and are not in Bulgarian, they must be legalized, translated into Bulgarian and certified in accordance with the provisions of the international treaties of the Republic of Bulgaria with the country in which they were issued. In the absence of such provisions, they shall be legalized in accordance with the general procedure for legalizations, translations and certifications of documents and other papers.Documents issued by the authorities of a foreign state that is a party to the Hague Convention should be certified by an apostille (States Parties can be checked at: www.hcch.net), placed by the authorities designated by it, in accordance with their official duties for performing the certification. The foreign documents certified in this way are not subject to additional legalizations and certifications. For the countries with which the Republic of Bulgaria has signed bilateral agreements for legal assistance, which contain texts for exemption of documents from legalization and other certificates, the documents issued by the foreign country should bear the relevant details, according to the bilateral agreements. The document issued in this way is recognized by the Bulgarian institutions and needs only a translation into Bulgarian and certification of the translation.
If the country from which the applicant comes is not a party to the Hague Convention and has not signed a legal aid agreement with the Republic of Bulgaria, then the documents under items 2, 3, 4 and 5 must be translated into Bulgarian and certified by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Education. the foreign affairs of the country concerned. Subsequently, the documents are submitted to the consular office of the nearest embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria for certification and legalization.The documents are sent to the Admission Department of the Higher School of Management at the address: Bulgaria, Varna 9000, 13 A Oborishte Str., Room 101. After receiving the documents, the Higher School of Management sends them to the Ministry of Education and Science ( MES) for issuance of a Certificate for entry visa for training type “E”. After issuing the Certificate by the MES, the applicants submit it to the embassy (consulate) of the Republic of Bulgaria in the respective country, together with all other documents required for obtaining a permit for residence in the Republic of Bulgaria for the purpose of study. Candidates who have received an entry visa type “D” are enrolled as students in the Varna University of Management.
