One city. One campus. Many cultures. One community.
On 24 October 2026, the campus of Varna University of Management (VUM) in Varna will become a meeting point for different cultures, traditions, and stories. As part of the ‘CULTURES IN MOTION: Varna Youth Together’ event, university and school students, as well as young people from different countries, will have the opportunity to present their cultures and share traditions, customs, and aspects of their countries’ identities.
The event aims to promote intercultural exchange, dialogue, and mutual understanding by creating an opportunity for participants to discover different cultures in an interactive, accessible, and engaging way.
Cultural Diversity at the Heart of the Campus
As part of the initiative, participants will be organised into groups according to the country they represent. Each group will have the opportunity to prepare its own booth and present its country in an engaging, creative, and memorable way.
Visitors will be able to discover traditional food, music, and dance, traditional clothing, languages, interesting facts, and other distinctive elements of the cultures of different countries.
In this way, the VUM campus will become a journey around the world, bringing together people from different cultural backgrounds and creating a space for sharing, communication, and new connections.
More Than a Cultural Showcase
‘CULTURES IN MOTION: Varna Youth Together’ is designed not only as an opportunity to showcase different cultures, but also as an interactive experience for all participants and visitors.
The programme will include fun games and interactive activities related to the cultures presented. Participants will be able to test their knowledge through a specially prepared quiz, which will show how many new facts and interesting details they have learned during the event.
Prizes will also be awarded to participants, adding a fun and competitive element to the initiative.
One Campus, Many Cultures
The international environment is an important part of student life at Varna University of Management. Bringing together people with different cultural, linguistic, and educational backgrounds creates a natural environment for exchanging ideas, building new connections, and developing intercultural competencies.
Through ‘CULTURES IN MOTION: Varna Youth Together’, VUM continues to encourage students to take an active part in campus life and to create opportunities for communication and interaction among people of different nationalities and cultural backgrounds.
The initiative gives participants an opportunity not only to showcase their traditions, but also to discover the shared values and interests that connect people regardless of their background.
The event will provide a space for sharing personal stories, traditions, and cultural characteristics, while also encouraging curiosity and respect for differences.
