We are proud to announce that our students in the International Hospitality and Tourism Management Master’s Programme Mariya Veretennikova and Akgul Yergaliyeva are among the approved participants in the Hilton College Hospitality Hackathon. They will elaborate their project under the guidance of Assoc. Prof. Maya Ivanova – Programme Director of the Academic School of Tourism and Hospitality Management at Varna University of Management.

Hilton College Hospitality Hackathon – HC3 is an international competition among students and recent graduates from hospitality programmes around the world. It is organized by the University of Houston Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management, in partnership with Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals. The aim of the competition is to help hospitality industry to overcome COVID-19 outbreak with new and innovative solutions that do not require a lot of investments and can be easily incorporated into operations.

The two teams awarded first-place (undergrad and graduate) will each receive a $3,000 scholarship to be divided equally among members. Teams placing first, second and third will all have the opportunity to present their winning hacks online at a specially themed HFTP Global Hangout, and will be recognized on social media and in other media and industry coverage.
