A “Martenitsa Day” Charity Workshop will be held on February 26th in the Dobrich campus of Varna University of Management.

We kindly invite all Bulgarian and foreign students to get acquainted with the old Bulgarian tradition, to learn who “Baba Marta” (Grandma March) is and to maketheir own martenitsas – symbol of spring and wish for health and fertility.

Martenitsa is much more than red and white woven threads. It is a symbol of love, health and longevity. It brings the white purity of people relationships and the red heat of strong friendships. It is a mascot, in which each artist presents his artistry and his own view of health and prosperity.

The martenitsas will be donated to “Martenitsa campaign 2019” of Karin Dom, the means of which will help the therapeutic work of the “Center for Family – Mediated Intervention” at this charity organization. Karin Dom is a non-profit organization with a leading role in the area in providing professional services for children with special needs and their families.

Become part of this charity feast! Show creativity, have fun with friends and donate spring hope for children!
