NEXT TOURISM GENERATION: tourism education for the next generation

Assoc. Prof. Maya Georgieva Ivanova, Irina Petkova, and Irena Erbakanova presented VUM's project "Next Tourism Generation" at the VII Travel Academy conference on 09th of October 2020. They were specially invited to reveal details about the project and its implementation. The presentation was followed by an interesting discussion, related to the improvement of tourism education and training.
The Next Tourism Generation Alliance (NTG) is the first European partnership and alliance for improving a collaborative and productive relationship between education and industry. A total of 14 partners from 8 EU countries take part in the initiative, which has the ambition to offer a new perspective and strategy for tourism education and training, which will be fully at the service of business and reflect its real needs and dynamics over the next decade. The NTG Alliance will provide employees, employers, entrepreneurs, teachers, trainers, and students with a set of Core NTG modules in digital, green, and social skills.
