The Open Days Event, organized by Culinary Arts Institute (CAI) at Varna University of Management (VUM) and METRO Academy in Sofia, was inspiring and attracted great interest.
On April 7th and 8th, students from all over Bulgaria who share a passion for culinary arts embarked on an adventure designed not only to introduce them to the craft but also to show that even in Bulgaria, one can learn to create like the great chefs from Michelin-starred restaurants. As first-year Gastronomy and Culinary Arts student Miroslav Darvenyakov pointed out, to be successful at what you do, you need to be passionate about it!
Visitors had the opportunity not only to enjoy the masterclasses delivered by the students at CAI during the four sessions of the event but also to learn more about how to pursue their dream of becoming great professionals in this field. Sandrina Yaneva, a current Hospitality and Culinary Arts student, shared her story about how just a year ago she was still confused and searching for her path—but now she’s living her dream under the guidance of the chef-instructors at CAI.
The two Open Days held in Sofia are just part of the many events that provide a platform for the students from both culinary programs at VUM to shine.
The entire team at the Culinary Arts Institute extends special thanks to the students and teachers from the Sofia Vocational High School of Tourism, 17th Secondary School “Damyan Gruev” – Sofia, PGHT “Prof. Dr. Assen Zlatarov” – Gorna Oryahovitsa, PGTLP “Goce Delchev” – Blagoevgrad, PG “Prof. Dr. Assen Zlatarov” – Vidin, and looks forward to welcoming them again at the next year’s edition of the event.
This event was made possible thanks to the partnership between the Culinary Arts Institute at Varna University of Management and METRO Academy, who have joined forces to help create the future leaders in the world of culinary arts.
