Students from eight countries join the VUM community for the autumn semester

The new academic semester has brought a new wave of international energy to Varna University of Management, with nearly 60 exchange students from eight countries joining the VUM community for the months ahead.

On 23 September, the newly arrived students took part in the Induction Sessions, marking the beginning of their exchange experience and giving them an opportunity to get to know VUM, their fellow students and their new home in Varna.

This semester, VUM is welcoming exchange students from Spain, France, Poland, Italy, Norway, Portugal, Armenia and Uzbekistan – bringing together young people with different backgrounds, languages and experiences in one international academic community.

During the induction sessions, students received practical information about their studies, academic procedures and everyday student life at VUM. They were also introduced to the opportunities available during their stay and given guidance on how to make the most of their time both inside and outside the classroom.

But the first days at university are about more than information and procedures. The sessions also provided the first opportunity for students to meet, exchange experiences, ask questions and begin building new friendships.

For many of the newcomers, the semester ahead will be much more than a period of academic study. It will be a chance to experience life in Bulgaria, discover Varna, explore a different culture, meet people from around the world and create memories that will last far beyond their exchange period.

At VUM, international mobility is not only about studying abroad – it is about bringing cultures together and creating connections that continue long after students return home.

Welcome to VUM! We wish all our exchange students an inspiring, successful and unforgettable semester in Varna.
