Varna University of Management (VUM) once again proved its high international prestige and received recognition for the high quality of education of students from all over the world in areas such as business, management and tourism. The university is the only one in Bulgaria meeting the criteria and approved to participate in a scholarship program of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Indonesia.

Moreover, VUM is among the universities that have found a way to organize, facilitate and actually carry out the mobility of the Indonesian students, despite the difficulties and limitations in a Covid pandemic. As a result, 5 students from Indonesia, coming from universities such as: Universitas Negeri Semarang, Universitas Diponegoro, Universitas Brawijaya, Universitas Presiden и Universitas Padjadjaran, are studying at the institution this semester.

The Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards is a scholarship program by the Government of Indonesia to fund Indonesian students to conduct mobility at the best universities abroad. Bachelors have the chance to spend one semester at a partner university abroad to study, learn more about the country’s culture and perform practical tasks, improve their skills and work in a team with students from all over the world.

The program is administered by the Directorate General for Higher Education (DGHE) of the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture (MOEC) and is open to students from all Indonesian higher education institutions. This semester, 699 Indonesian students spend their mobility periods in 36 world-class universities in 16 countries on 4 continents. VUM ranks among some of the most elite universities in the world such as: Maastricht University, University of Edinburgh, Michigan State University, Boston University, York University, Singapore Management University, University of British Colombia, University of Pennsylvania, Korea University, University of California – Denver, Sapienza University of Rome, University of York, University of Pisa, Abu Dhabi University and others.

The long-term efforts and activity of the academic community of VUM once again lead to international recognition. It is no coincidence that the university is invariably at the top of international rankings when it comes to the criterion of international mobility. Educating students from over 50 countries, the team of Varna University of Management relies on quality education, world standards and a multicultural atmosphere.
