Every year VUM traditionally organizes field trips for its students in the master’s programme in international tourism. As part of the Exploring Hospitality and Tourism Landscapes module, students travel and explore a region that has great potential for tourism development. During the trip, they visit various sights and attractions of the region, talk to the locals, visit companies and tour operators that work in the same region. At the end of the course, students must create a destination development plan that includes an analysis of the situation and proposals for developing new products and reaching new markets.
