This provides students with opportunities to gain first-hand experience in the hospitality industry through company visits, guest lecturers and networking events with industry professionals.

Moreover, VUM has an extensive and sophisticated network of more than 200 active international partners where our students can carry out their obligatory summer internships with a duration of up to 12 months during the period of their education. Thus, they get a real opportunity to create contacts, gain skills and experience in a real work environment and lay the foundations for their future successful business realization.

Additionally, the internships at VUM are organized by VUM’s Career Center and are financed under the Erasmus+ program. Within the Erasmus + program, for each month the internship is completed, the student receives over 700 euros of programme funding (depending on the country in which they choose to go to) or over 8,000 euros in case the student takes advantage of the entire 12-month period in which he is entitled to carry out practical training. In the event that the students’ result obtained from the academic exams are high, the student is qualified for a scholarship for academic performance (merit-based). On top of that, a total amount of around 10,000 euros is obtained from scholarships and grants whereby each student has the opportunity to receive within the framework of his or her studies at VUM (read more here).
