On Saturday, Varna University of Management hosted the “International Lunch,” where culinary traditions became a bridge between cultures. Organized by the Erasmus+ Office, the event brought together international credit mobility students from Uzbekistan, Armenia, the Philippines, and local Bulgarians to showcase their traditional culinary skills.
The cooking sessions took place in the state-of-the-art facilities of VUM’s Culinary Arts Institute. Participants worked alongside students from the Culinary Arts program under the expert guidance of Chef Hugues Boutin, the institute’s director. This collaboration offered a unique opportunity to blend culinary techniques with cultural exchange.
The culinary creations were later served and shared at the Culinary Arts Institute’s restaurant. This meal became a platform for intercultural interaction, demonstrating the unifying power of food.
Events like the International Lunch highlight VUM’s dedication to fostering diversity and collaboration, making the university a hub where cultures converge and enrich one another.
