The SAFER consortium successfully held its 1st Transnational Project Meeting (TPM1) in Thessaloniki, Greece, from 9 to 11 June 2026, hosted by the International Hellenic University (IHU).

Over three productive days, project partners came together to review progress, align implementation across the Work Packages, discuss key deliverables, and prepare the next phase of project activities.

During the meeting, the consortium reviewed progress in project coordination and management, needs assessment, strategic planning and capacity building, curriculum development and digital learning, community engagement and industry cooperation, and dissemination, inclusivity and sustainability.

A major point of discussion was the completion of the needs assessment process, whose results will now support the next phases of the project, including strategic planning, curriculum development, training materials, and future stakeholder engagement activities.

The meeting also included a study visit to Alpha Lavender – Multifunctional Farm & Experiences in the area of Mesimeri, Thessaloniki, where partners explored how agricultural production can connect with education, sustainability, local development, experiential learning, and rural entrepreneurship.

In addition, the consortium held focused working sessions on key project deliverables, including the Project Strategic Plan, the Activities Program, the Techniques and Templates for the Training Materials and Curriculum, and the All-inclusive Distribution and Inclusion Strategy.

The successful completion of TPM1 marked an important milestone for SAFER, strengthening consortium cooperation and supporting the project’s shared work on sustainable agriculture education, climate resilience, digital transformation, and long-term impact.
