Professor Dr Stanislav Ivanov, lecturer at Varna University of Management (VUM), has been awarded the National “Pythagoras” Prize by the Ministry of Education and Science for being an established scientist in the field of social and human sciences.

The official ceremony for presenting the highest national distinctions for scientific achievements took place at the National History Museum and was opened by the Minister of Education and Science, Krasimir Valchev. This year marks the 17th consecutive edition of the “Pythagoras” Awards, recognised as the most prestigious national distinction for contributions to science, honouring both established and young researchers across various scientific disciplines.

Professor Ivanov is among the world’s leading researchers in the field of the economic and social aspects of artificial intelligence, automation, and robotics, with a particular focus on the impact of new technologies on tourism and human resource management. His research is distinguished by its innovative approach and high practical relevance for the development of the modern economy and tourism.

The management of Varna University of Management congratulates Professor Ivanov on this high recognition and expresses its pride in his contribution to the advancement of science and the academic prestige of the university.
