The topic of “Review and cultural analysis of multi-cultural crowd behavior in emergencies” is a crucial one in regard to the security of the multi-million passengers crowds which use every day the main transportation hubs, including airports, railway stations and sea ports. Studies show that the cases of emergency, including fire, explosions, earthquakes, etc. have shown positive and negative sides in managing the crowd behaviour, especially in cases of multinational crowds where many people do not understand well the instructions of the officers in charge. Considering this, the European Commission has initiated Horizon 2020 project with the participation of scholars from Italy, UK, Holland, Bulgaria, Turkey and Poland. Bulgaria and Varna University of Management are represented in the project by Prof. Michael Minkov and Prof. Vesselin Blagoev. You can read more about the project on this link.
