Webinar Upskilling & Reskilling: Pact for Skills
18 December 2020, 11.30 – 13.00 CET
In the coming years, the work culture in the tourism sector will continue to change significantly due to the impact of technology and sustainability on the labor market. In addition, COVID-19 increasingly demands more transparency, flexibility and perspective from tourism organizations. Lifelong learning has become even more important than it already was and that means that organizations and education must be equipped with the right tools and insights. Which skills remain relevant? How can organizations adapt to new standards of work and what does this mean for the professional development of employees and the future workforce in tourism? How does the tourism sector remain a stable sector and how can companies and jobs be preserved or innovated, with an eye on the next generation?
We need to predict skills and future skills needs in a collaborative structure to develop excellent job services in the future. Companies, workers, national, regional and local authorities, social partners, cross-industry and sectoral organizations, education and training providers, chambers of commerce and employment services all have a key role to play.
The public event will be held on 18 December 2020, 11.30 – 13.00 CET and it will take place online. In 1.5 hours, experts will talk about key topics:
- Pact for Skills
- Digital transformation and skills
