Prof. Stanislav Ivanov presented some of the good practices in managing scientific journal
He shared his experience as a founder and an editor-in-chief of the “European Journal of Tourism Research” magazine at “Elsevier“ seminar, which was hold on 10.05.2016 in Sofia. During his presentation, Prof. Ivanov presented the journal itself, the editorial board, the process of reviewing and some effective ways of promoting the magazine, attracting authors and reviewers.
Some of the tips Prof. Ivanov presented were:
– The process of reviewing submissions is of great importance, therefore to proof transparency the method of “Double blind review” is always applied.
– The quality of the published scripts is the most important asset for attracting new readers
– It is better to include fewer articles in a magazine rather than adopting inferior manuscripts
