Varna University of Management and Culinary Arts and Hospitality Association are pleased to invite you to participate in the INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE “DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES FOR EXPERIENCE-BASED TOURISM” under the project PROMOTION OF EXPERIENCE TOURISM WITH A FOCUS ON THE CULTURAL-HISTORICAL HERITAGE OF THE BLACK SEA BASIN, Contract No. BSB-1145.

This international forum highlights the important role of digital technologies in tourism, and more specifically their importance in creating a high-quality experiential tourism product.

Advances in information and communication technologies (ICT) have given a new face to modern tourism. New technologies have changed consumer attitudes, facilitated access to information and greatly accelerated the process of planning and organizing business or vacation travel. 3D, augmented reality, robots for service and information, applications for learning and adapting to the interests and preferences of individual users are increasingly used solutions in favor of creating and complementing the tourist experience.

During the one-day conference, experts, researchers, entrepreneurs and representatives of cultural institutions from 4 countries will discuss the place of digital innovation in experiential tourism in the Black Sea region and will present visually how new solutions can help to improve its condition. Guest speakers from Armenia, Greece, Georgia and Bulgaria will present the ICT possibilities for enriching tourist services and their presentation, promoting cultural events and cultural-historical heritage based on real examples.

At the end of the conference, important accompanying topics will be discussed, such as: attitude of tourists towards new technologies, the need for digital skills in tourism and the role of shared cultural wealth as a source of new entrepreneurial ideas.
