STUDENT BOOT CAMP – 2nd July to 21st July 2023
Dobrich, Bulgaria – The highly anticipated Student Boot Camp, a part of the HARMONY project, is set to take place from the 2nd to the 21st of July 2023 at the prestigious Varna University of Management (VUM) campus in Dobrich, Bulgaria. This transformative 14-day training program aims to foster international collaboration and support the modernisation and accessibility of higher education institutions in India, Bangladesh, and Vietnam. The project also aims to promote cooperation between European and Asian universities, facilitating strategic internationalisation in education, research, mobility, and services.
The Boot Camp will bring together 20 ambitious students from esteemed institutions such as Daffodil International University and University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh in Bangladesh, Vellore Institute of Technology, SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, and University of Hyderabad in India, as well as The University of Danang and Quang Binh University in Vietnam.
During the intensive program, the students will benefit from morning lectures delivered by VUM’s experienced and professional lecturers, covering a wide range of topics including Event Management, Intercultural Competence and Communication, and Leadership. The afternoons will be dedicated to self-study, preparations, and rehearsals for the grand finale – the “Delight in Diversity International and Intercultural Festival,” an event they will collectively organize to showcase their newfound skills and understanding of cross-cultural collaboration. The festival is scheduled to take place at the summer theatre in Dobrich on July 19th, 2023, commencing at 19:00.
While the week will be dedicated to learning and preparations, the weekends will provide a unique opportunity for the students to explore the diverse and enchanting landscapes of Bulgaria. These experiences are intended to enable them to broaden their knowledge, find inspiration, and forge lifelong friendships with their peers.
The HARMONY project represents a significant milestone in fostering international education cooperation between the EU and Asian countries, and the Student Boot Camp promises to be a stepping stone for the next generation of globally-aware and competent leaders.
