Graduation Ceremony 2017 was held on November 15th at Varna University of Management (VUM). This year VUM has its 19th class of graduates and 7th class of graduates with double degree diplomas from Varna University of Management and Cardiff Metropolitan University, the UK.

Especially for this event VUM welcomed Dr. Chris Russell, Head of Department for Accounting, Economics and Finance at Cardiff Met and the main moderator of the double degree programs, offered in Varna by VUM and Cardiff Met.

The graduates received their diplomas personally from assoc. prof. Todor Radev, VUM Rector and Dr. Chris Russell. The rector’s speech mentioned the students with highest academic achievements, as well as the university sponsors that provide scholarships for students (telecommunication companies, banks, international companies from the IT and outsourcing sectors, tour operators and others).

Among the official guests were Mrs. Liliya Hristova, Director of Education and Youth Activities Directorate at Varna Municipality, Mr. Radosvet Radev, owner of Darik Holding, and Mrs. Bilyana Raeva, Chair of Varna-European Youth Capital Association, who gave a motivational speech in front of the students. On the other hand, the MBA graduate Ozgur Hocaoglu, Quality Manager at a big production company in Bulgaria,  congratulated his colleagues with speech about the academic life and the great memories he will keep about VUM. At the end of the ceremony, several 1-st year students were awarded with scholarships for this academic year personally by Mr. Radosvet Radev, as a representative of one of the VUM sponsors. Among the awarded were students from Gabrovo, Dobrich, Silistra, Burgas, Stara Zagora.

Among the graduates were students from three continents.
