Garduation of Class 2018 at Varna University of Management

The graduates of Class 2018 of Varna University of Management (VUM) were awarded their degrees on a Graduation ceremony that took place on 5 December 2018. Along with the Bulgarian educational and qualification degrees the students who have successfully completed their studies at VUM were awarded also British Bachelor or Master degree from the strategic academic partner of the university in the United Kingdom: Cardiff Metropolitan University.

The graduates received their degrees from the Rector of Varna University of Management Assoc. prof. Todor Radev, PhD. He quoted Mark Twain, who has said: “The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.” I honestly believe that the years spent in VUM have helped you to find the answer to that question. I am confident that the knowledge you have acquired in our university will be an advantage in your future development but will also leave pleasant memories of the friendships, fun and good times.” – said Mr. Radev to the graduates.

A formal congratulatory address was received from Ms. Lilia Hristova, director of “Education and youth affairs” Directorate in Varna municipality and Ms. Elizabet Rafailova granted one of the top students with the special “St. St. Konstantin and Elena” JSC award. Motivational speech held Ms. Elisaveta Smolkova, alumnus of Varna University of Management, Class 2016.

Mr. Nigel Jones, the Link tutor for Varna University of Management at Cardiff Metropolitan University addressed a special greeting to the graduates.

Due to the multiannual efforts and persistence of the academic society Varna University of Management became a distinguishable educational institution for students of about 50 nationalities. Among the 2018 class graduates there are citizens of Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova, Ukraine, Russia, Turkey, Kazakhstan, India, USA, Mozambique, Nigeria and Afghanistan.

Class 2018 marks the 20th anniversary class of graduates of Varna University of Management and 8th class of graduates with a second degree by Cardiff Metropolitan University.
