As of 1 st June 2019, the renowned European Journal оf Tourism Research published by Varna University of Management is an open access journal. So far it was available only for subscribers and in the leading international scientific databases. As of this month all readers may freely download, share and distribute the papers from the EJTR website (http://ejtr.vumk.eu). The European Journal of Tourism and Research is the first international academic journal in the field of tourism research issued in Bulgaria. It aims to provide a platform for discussion of theoretical and empirical problems in tourism. It includes publications from all fields, connected with tourism, such as tourism management, tourism marketing, tourism sociology, psychology in tourism, tourism geography, political sciences in tourism, mathematics, tourism statistics, tourism anthropology, culture and tourism, information technologies in tourism and many others.

The journal is indexed in Scopus and Clarivate Analytics' Web of Science (Emerging Sources Citation Index). According to Scopus, EJTR is the highest ranked journal published in Bulgaria in the field of social sciences.

Editor-in-chief of EJTR is Prof. Stanislav Ivanov, Vice Rector (Research) at Varna University of Management, and on the Editorial board there are renowned researchers from over 25 countries.
