The last workshop of the project partners within the “Entrepreneurial Learning Exchange Initiative for Sustainable Hospitality SMEs in the Balkan-Mediterranean Region”(HELIX) project was held at the University of Shkodra “Luigj Gurakuqi”, Albania.
The project management team and experts in the field of tourism and hospitality reviewed and discussed the successful outcomes and planned steps to multiply them, as well as opportunities for further cooperation to achieve project sustainability.
Leading partner in the project is Varna University of Management and the managing consortium unites the overall vision of 6 other organizations from the territory of the Program Region. Among them are four higher schools (University of Thessaly, Greece, Alexander Moisiu University in Durres and Luigj Gurakuqi University of Shkodra, Albania, Institute of Economics at St. St. Cyril and Methodius University in Northern Macedonia), 1 cluster organization (Culinary Arts and Hospitality Association, Bulgaria) and 1 Chamber of Commerce and Industry (“Macedonian-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce”). The main objective of the project is to increase the competence for buildingsustainable business and innovation, especially among small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurs in the tourism sector in the Balkans, through the creation of training and exchange communities, tools and joint educational products aimed at strengthening the sector-specific skills for sustainable development and introduction of technological and managerial innovations.
The event is part of `Entrepreneurial Learning Exchange Initiative for Sustainable Hospitality SMEs in the Balkan-Mediterranean Region` (HELIX) project, which is funded by Interreg V-A Balkan-Mediterranean Programme.
